An avid hiker, bicyclist, photographer and outdoorsman, this UC San Diego grad leads the Tour40 Team with previous experience as a two-time SCA Conservation Corps Native Plants project leader. “I am delighted to be working on another SCA project and look forward to making a positive impact on the communities that the team will be visiting,” he says.
Meet the Team
Crossing the United States in a biodiesel RV, the Tour40 crew is a diverse group of young people who share a common passion for conservation. Meet them here then see them yourselves when they visit your area this summer.
Eric Hopkins 
Syracuse, NY
Connecting young people to nature and the joys of stewardship is a passion for this Plymouth State University grad. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Eric looks forward to leading the Tour40 Team and says he "can't wait to share the SPIRIT with Southwest Airlines employees and friends across the country!"
Rebecca Landis
Kingston, NY
A recent grad of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Becca has served as an SCA Biology and Wildlife Monitoring Intern, and says that “preserving the Earth’s beauty and biodiversity” has been a lifelong passion.
Michael Fortin Marchetti
Ellicot City, Maryland
From his childhood in the woods of New Hampshire to his years at Ohio University and participation in a SCA Backcountry Desert Team in the Rand
Mountains, this avid hiker and runner says he has always been motivated by “a deep love for nature and all the living organisms that make up the forest.”
Andrew Bousquet
Durham, North Carolina
A mountain biker and hiker with a geography degree from Appalachian State, Andrew brings his conservation experience as an SCA Weed Mapping and Control Intern and Backcountry Monitoring Team member to the Tour40 crew. He wants to “make a positive impact on the people around me and the environment.”
Diana Forbes
Agawam, Massachussetts
This University of Tampa grad in environmental science has been a dedicated hiker since childhood, backpacking throughout the American Southwest, caving in Costa Rica and SCUBA diving. Before heading off the grad school, Diana says she wants to spend some time giving back to the environment on the Tour40 Team.
Kimberly Teruya
Beverly Hills, CA
A communications and studio art graduate of USC, Kim isn’t just a Tour40 team member, she designed the wrap for the tour’s RV! A year abroad in New Zealand awakened a passion in Kim for hiking and backcountry backpacking. She looks forward to applying her outdoor skills to the Tour40 experience.
