We're celebrating 40 years of Southwest Airlines with 40 conservation service projects in 25 locations. Join the Tour40 team from Southwest and SCA this summer as they cross the USA doing a world of good.
You'll work side-by-side with other people who share your desire to make a real difference in your community.
In the meantime, check out our kickoff video showing how we tricked out the Tour40 RV to get it ready for the road ahead.
Our Houston service day was sunny and warm, a fitting end to our cross country tour. The team was both excited and sad as we climbed out of the RV on the morning of our last day in service together. We were expecting a lot of volunteers for our grand finale, so we enlisted some extra help for the day and we were happy to reunite with staff from SCA headquarters and SCA Houston.
Today we worked with Bayou Segnette State Park to help restore a few of their hiking trails. We quickly rose to action this morning at around 6am and were ready in record time for all of the volunteers. Our volunteers got right to work alongside our team to tackle and topple over as many trees and overhanging branches that we could find. Becca enjoyed herself chasing down anole lizards and looking for fancy fungi. Tyler and Marchetti loved felling as many trees as they could. The rain even held out for us until directly after the project!
